Your personal Top 10 Video game moments

Let’s do a Top 10 Personally satisfying/enjoyable/memorable video game moments, it does not have to be in order, and obviously the more you describe the more clearer picture some of us can picture in our heads, but please, format it so we all can read each moment clearly,
here is My Top 10 Satisfying/Enjoyable/Memorable Video Game moments, these are in no particular order.

10: Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Campaign - Ending: I admit, I was not a big fan of the direction of this Call Of Duty entry, however the campaign was truly an experience I enjoyed, but what got me feeling excited was was the ending,

SPOLER ALERT!
After escaping from the Atlas controlled prison, Commander Cormack has died from his wounds at the hand of the games antagonist Johnathan Irons(Voiced by Kevin Spacey and actually looks like Kevin Spacey in every way possible), our heroes travel to hunt down Johnathan Irons, after a series of events, Jack Mitchell whom had a prosthetic arm destroyed by Johnathan Irons, whom originally gave him the arm when he joined Atlas and Gideon are frozen in their exosuits, Mitchell manages to free himself and chases after a fleeing Johnathan Irons, Johnathan irons is pinned down and falls out a broken window, holding onto the broken prosthetic arm of Mitchell, below him is a blazing inferno, a ”quick time event” has Mitchell arming a knife and swinging his prosthetic arm to get it closer to the knife, despite Johnathan Irons ”Reminding Him” that he gave him the prothstetic arm and a second chance, Mitchel cuts off the prosthetic arm, sending Johnathan Irons to his death, his final words as he fell were ”AHHH! MITCHELL” he is lifted back on his feet by Gideon who also managed to free himself and he looks down and just says ”It was only gonna end one way for him”
No COD campaign set in the future gave me a feeling of satisfaction like that.

9: GTA V - Torture Mission: Call me sadistic, but for some strange reason this moment in the game felt oddly satisfying and enjoyable to me, the moment basically is torturing an individual for information, the torture techniques range from pulling teeth out with pliers to literally breaking a mans penis with a giant monkey wrench and more, this moment is simply too good that inflicting pain and seeing the reaction is very satisfying.

8: Finally Completing a Doom E1M1 100% Ultra-Violence no damage run: The amount of hours I grinded is insane, so when I finally finished a Doom E1M1 100% Ultra-Violence no damage run, I felt an absolute surge of emotions from relief to happiness to anger to joy, the list goes on.

7: Freedom Fighters - Hotel: This is more akin to using the AI’s pretty poor Grenade avoidance mechanics to comedic effect, that and using the infinite ammo and max charisma cheat, You go to a area near the beginning, hire 12 rebels, have them defend near a external stairwell thing(I don’t know what it’s called), and toss a grenade behind them, and just watch them react some actually run from the grenade, some not far enough, some far enough, and other just duck and end up getting blown over the railing to fall to the ground.

And the icing on the cake is throwing the grenade as they come up the stairs and to see some of them get blown back down the stairs and others do the usual get far away from the exploring grenade, and in some cases if there are men above the first flight of steps throwing the grenade at the level below and seeing some of the men just get blown over the railing from an explosion below them, oh I swear, it is ALWAYS funny to do that, in confession it makes me laugh so much, that once the novelty and comedy has worn off, I literally have to get a change of pants because.........yeah.

6: Getting to max Echlon on Doom(2016) Multiplayer: The long 3 month grind was in hindsight was my biggest multiplayer achievement yet, and glad I got there when I did considering that the multiplayer of Doom(2016) is pretty much dead in Australia.

5: VR F1 2019: This is a very recent moment but after spending an hour and near $100AUD on programs needed for getting F1 2019 to work in VR, the experience was breathtaking, and immersive which to me is a big plus, the only negative is I got motion sick quickly which is rare as I don’t get motion sick easily so this occurrence of motion sickness is truly rare.

4: F1 2015 - 2014 Season - Germany - Brother championship: Me and my bro had been trading blows back and forth in the drivers championship for a few months by the time this happened, but the race at Germany was a true test of our skills, especially the literally last 5 laps, where a measly tenth of a second was the gap between me and my bro, and on the last lap, my bro made a bad mistake on the second last corner, securing my win, and my God, what a race, a true test of skill and strategy, pad vs wheel, Ferrari vs Red Bull, the aggressive driver vs the patient driver, we BOTH dislike the new Hockenheim layout and definitely love the older pre 2004 layout, but this time around we loved Hockenheim, not for the tracks layout, but for the race we had, and those last 5 laps, what a race.

3: Minecraft - Private Server - Prank: Ok so on my private server, I allow pranking and I had pranked my bro by spamming saplings all around his house, which grew into a massive tree canopy, he said he loved the prank and called it ”A pretty good prank”, but his retaliation and my delayed reaction was the real icing on the cake, I had a horse on a leash, and somehow, my bro made a platform in the sky with my horse on it, and when I first saw the platform, I shrugged it off, not even noticing my horse was not at the entrance where I left him, finally my bro said 2 weeks later ”Notice anything missing bro” so I looked and said ”Where my horse?”, then I look up at the platform and see something up there, and I then say ”How the hell did my horse get up there”, I heard my bro absolutely laughing out loud, as he said ”You have no idea how long that took me to do, but in hindsight, It was so worth it. So naturally I tried to get it down, and accidentally got my horse killed of fall damage which had my bro laughing even louder and he was literally rolling on the floor laughing, I took in good spirit and just said ”Great Retaliation bro, but you mark my words, You have unleashed the Prank Monster, and my retaliation will be enough to make you regret pranking ”The Prank King”(Though to be clear I did make it a rule to give the victim of a prank a chance to retaliate as to not do so would be unfair), sadly the server has been very inactive for 4 months now.

2: Minecraft - Private Server - Prank: So my best friend does not do the pranking, but he will do a retaliation prank to the prankster, and I saw fit to entomb my best friends house in cobblestone, so his retaliation was to fill my base with cobblestone, every nook and cranny he could find, my God what a chore but when I found out it was him, I just smiled and said ”Very funny man, very funny, I entomb your house so you buried mine”, he just said ”Use cobblestone in your prank on me and I’ll use the same block for my retaliation on you”

1: GTA V Online - Being able to buy whatever I want, whenever I want: So I am basically filthy rich in GTA V Online, so much so I could buy anything I want, and still have money to burn, which kind of fuels my desire to become absurdly rich to the point where I can blow millions or billions on fruitless projects or outright give it away because I’m that kind of guy that hate homelessness and believes giving homeless people billions of dollars will reduce the homelessness rate dramatically because none of the world governments want to spend billions reducing it.

BUT I also learned something, Money really does not make you feel better, after buying an expensive car, I got a momentary buzz of excitement and enjoyment out of it, then I would store it in a garage to ”Collect Dust” and I go back to how I felt before the purchase, it also taught me that having access to lot’s of money, and being able to buy whatever you want whenever you want makes an item of desire and value, valueless and meaningless, it just becomes an object that when you die it becomes even more meaningless and worthless, not to mention it becomes nothing more than junk that even to collectors will never be sellable for more than it was purchased for, because it was once owned by someone who had so much money that could buy that thing ten times over.
Money truly is not able to bring one happiness, nothing in moneys nature is capable of providing a long lasting feeling of happiness, if anything more money makes you more miserable.
Ahem sorry about that last bit, I got carried away in the moment.
But now, it’s your turn to do a Top 10 Satisfying/Enjoyable/Memorable Video Game moments comment.
P.S. If you read my top 10 list all the way through, thank you for taking the time to read it.
TL;DR: You are a lazy, procrastinating idiot, scroll back to the top and read the whole thing, I bet you lack the mental capacity for such a simple task, prove me wrong.

  • 3.4GB on PS4
  • 3.2GB on Xbox One
  • 2.9GB on Steam
  • 2.6GB on Social Club.
On the note of releases... Some countries will not be able to access certain content from this update due to gambling laws. Thankfully though, players from these countries will still be allowed to download the update in general.

Money for Diamond Casino

For ways to make money to afford the new DLC content, along with methods to make an empty lobby to do CEO/MC work, check the Mega Guide.
Tips
  • You only need $50,000 to register as a VIP! If you have at least that much, you can register as a VIP for 4 hours and get access to VIP missions (which can be done in an invite only session), giving you a lucrative way to save up.
  • If you own both a crate warehouse and vehicle warehouse, you could use them together to make more money overtime than you could by using either exclusively. Use your sourcing/exports between crate pickups and sales, and you'll be getting the best of both worlds, gaining from the postive money-making aspects of both.

Gambling

As this is a Casino-centric update, there's plenty of ways to gamble away your hard-grinded money.
The gambling in this game centers around a new form of currency, called Chips. These chips are pretty much like real-world gambling chips, with a one-to-one dollar value, except you keep your chips when you leave the casino. Chips are an actual currency in GTA Online, as they can be used to purchase exclusive items from a shop inside the casino, along with being used to bet with when playing the Gambling Games, listed below
  • Slot Machines: There's plenty of options to choose from, but they all perform the same way. Spend some chips, and let the RNG decide whether or not you earn anything from it.
  • Blackjack: Casino style blackjack with up to four simultaneous players, all of which play against the dealer. Anyone who beats the dealer individually wins, anyone who the dealer beats individually loses, and if the dealer gets Blackjack (an Ace and 10/face-card), everyone immediately loses. Assuming your initial hand isn't a Blackjack, you have the option of doubling-down, which doubles your initial bet with the caveat of only being able to hit once.
  • Poker: Three-card poker. You make your bets, check your hand, and similar to Blackjack, each player wins if their hand is better than the dealer's, and the dealer beats whoever has a worse hand than him. While there is no option to double-down, how much you win does depend on how good of a hand you have. The better your hand, the more you win. Also, while you can fold your hand, you lose your initial bet anyway.
  • Horse Racing: Pretty much standard horse racing bettering. You choose a horse, you put your money down, and if you bet correctly, you get double the amount you bet in return. Otherwise, you just lose the amount you bet.
To gain more chips, there is a counter inside the casino where you can buy them, however you are limited in how many you can buy per day (real-world 24 hours). As standard, you can buy a maximum of 20,000 chips per day, but if you own a penthouse of any tier, you can buy up to 50,000 chips per day. Chips can also be traded in for money, but there does not appear to be a limit on this. No matter how many chips you win from gambling, it appears that you can trade them all in at once for the equivalent dollar value.
Lastly, there is the Wheel. It's a roulette wheel that you can only spin once per day, which costs $500 per spin. There are twenty reward slots, and since some rewards are in multiple slots, they have greater chances of being selected. The biggest note about this wheel however is that there is one slot in which you can win a free car! What makes this so significant is that since the car takes a 1/20 slot on the wheel, that means you still have a 5% chance of winning a free high-value vehicle! Compared to most online games, that's pretty much the most generous RNG you can get.

FAQ

Are there any differences between the penthouses
For once, yes! Well, technically... they're the same basic property layout, but each option gives you different addon options.
  • The Cash Pad: The basic Penthouse with no property addons available . You cannot purchase a garage, extra bedroom, lounge, etc. with the Cash Pad. You can, however, purchase penthouse customizations (colour and wall patterns).
  • The Party Penthouse: Gives you certain of the addon options: the main Penthouse, the Extra Bedroom, the Lounge Area, the Spa, and the Bar and Party Hub. You are locked to these options, no more, no less.
  • The High Roller: Gives you all of the property addons as standard, and the most expensive penthouse customization options... this means that you cannot choose your own colour and wall patterns with this version.
  • The "Design Your Own": ...What should be the standard option. It gives you the basic penthouse and allows you to choose which addons and customizations you want, with an extra cost for each one, of course. Just get this one. You can also renovate this option later, allowing you to purchase more addons and change your customizations later.
What do the Penthouse Addons do?
  • Lounge Area: Allows you to purchase the other Penthouse Addons (except for the Extra Bedroom and Garage, which are the only items addons that can be purchased without a Lounge).
  • Media Room: You know the cinemas around Los Santos? The ones that play a few 5 minute animated films on repeat? That, but in a Penthouse.
  • Spa: Gives you access to a hot tub and a Personal Stylist. The Stylist's services are the same as the ones spread around Los Santos (hair, contacts, and make up), but they're all free.
  • Bar and Party Hub: Allows you to consume drinks that instantly intoxicate your character, along with access to special arcade games that aren't available anywhere else in the game.
  • Private Dealer: Allows you to play gambling games in your penthouse.
  • Office: Adds a standard computer, a Gun Locker, and a money vault (don't get excited, it's just aesthetic).
  • Extra Bedroom: Bedrooms in owned properties in GTA Online are used as spawn points, so why can you pay to have an extra one? Because you can now allow a friend of yours to claim it! The Extra Bedroom allows a friend of yours to use your penthouse as a spawn apparently, though the exact implementation of this is not completely clear.
  • Garage: Access to the Penthouse's garage bay.
How do I get the armored car?
  • To recieve the Enus Paragon R (Armoured), you have to complete the Diamond Casino's mission series, which you must own a penthouse to access. Once of the missions are complete, you'll be given the vehicle for free! But remember, it's uninsured and you only get it once, so immediately go into passive mode and take it to the nearest Los Santos Customs to insure it, or else you could lose the vehicle permanently.

Passive Mode

Good news, passive mode has been fixed!
  • Passive Mode can now no longer be active when using a weaponized vehicle
  • A Passive Mode cooldown of 2 minutes is now in place for players who have just killed another player
  • Players now must wait 5 minutes before they can activate Passive Mode again after disabling it
  • Players now must wait 30 seconds before they can disable Passive Mode after activating it
These changes make is so that grievers can no longer abuse passive mode, or at least no where near as easily. If you start to get the upper-hand on a griefer and destroy whatever death-machine they're using to troll you, or if you confront them in a death-machine of your own, they can't abuse Passive Mode to try to get the upper-hand on you!

Solo Session

Check the Mega Guide for ways to push yourself into a public Online session with no one else in it. Keep in mind that some missions and abilities are unavailable if there's no one else with you though!

Bugs and Glitches

  • Apparently on PS4 and Xbox One, you must have full size of GTA V available to download the update, so if you have less than ~60GB free, you may have trouble downloading the update. This does not mean that the entire game is re-downloaded, it just means that the update may not download if you don't have that much space available.

New Role Idea For Red Dead Online

I do not work for Rockstar, but I will most likely be sending this idea to them.
So there’s already Horse Races implemented into the game. One of the first bits of content you play for most of the community. Now what if you could run a bookies, an AFK and/or Practical business that you can upgrade and change odds, increase the amount of properties you own, and even participate in placing your own bets to make more money or lose it.
To start off this role, you travel over to Valentine to examine a new property on the market. This will be your starting office. One you can purchase for an amount of gold (20 or under). From the office you can purchase new betting offices for money, not gold and upgrade them. Imagine it like the clubhouse property and the MC businesses that span from it like GTA online. Also from the office you will be able to start a heist (this will be touched on later).
Expanding on the bets. Players throughout the serveplay session will be able to go to one of your properties and place bets on the horses. Depending on your upgrades, the max bet could be possibly between 10$ max to 100$ max (not set in stone). These bets will come back to you according to the odds if you win making it a fun gameplay mechanic on the side to take a chance and earn a quick buck.
Now for the AFK or Practical properties of this role. The owner or the player with the role will have access to their safe, one that contains the money of all their profits from the bookies -the more bookies you have (max of 3, making you rely on the choices you make), the more money you can potentially earn (price depending on location, e.g. a property in Vanhorn would be 100$, compared to one in Saint Denis that could be 1500$. Prices varying due to population size). An interesting twist that could spice things up could be that after a certain threshold of money is amounted, the player can hire guns-for-hire (NPC’s or Players, let me know your thoughts) to protect it from looters and outlaws (if Outlaws ever becomes a role these could tie into each other). This could leave the player losing an amount such as 10% of their profits to the other player. Now I realise that this is a decently unfair circumstance and this is where I say its not set in stone, its just an idea and I’m sure one of you will think of a more fair execution of this gameplay mechanic.
Finally, this may require some explaining. Now my inspiration for this segment and a lot of this comes from the TV show ‘Peaky Blinders’ as most of you can tell. But this next point is quite interesting I think. Much like GTA; set-up and heist missions. For example, with a posse you can plan to raid an opposing racecourse master. Which will most likely be an NPC, or a full side-story that puts you from starting an illegal business, to becoming legit. Now in my imagination, the story starts out one like this...
After setting up your office and in search of property you arrive in Blackwater, the town swept in mist and darkness, the only thing you can see are the low orange glows of lanterns hanging in the streets. Windows are closed for the night. Everyone resting comfortably in their households. You’re tired having travelled from Valentine. You decide to spend the night in a local inn. Having booked a comfortable room, you doze off into a slumber. SMASH You are awake. Yet you are still covered by darkness. You open your eyes wide. But theres nothing.. You are covered with a blindfold. You hear a man rambling in front of you, thats when you smell the familiar aroma of whiskey. You struggle to no avail, you cannot escape, and you cannot see... A harsh light is shone at you as the blindfold is ripped from your face. It takes some time for your eyes to adjust. And you see a man in front of you. A man who makes love to his whiskey (Sean). You find the man repulsive as he drinks the rest and throws it against the wall. This is where he tells you of his plan to rob Scotty Denver. A savvy investor and makes a profit in races. Sean wants to take him down for unknown reasons, and thinks you would be a good candidate to help him, Scotty being an opportunity of sorts to establish yourself.
The heist follows through and you rob him of his safe, bagging you enough to purchase the property in Blackwater.
This kicks off the quest line, leading you to come across Scotty on many occasions as he swears vengeance upon you. This is how the story begins.
In time you will find Scotty Denver to be a problem, ordering his men to ‘interfere’ with your betting offices.
I know this isn’t the best example but I think this would be a good if not great role for the red dead community. For a long time we have wanted an outlaw role, to fit in with the premise of the Cowboy Outlaw aesthetic of the game. This would be bringing in more activities to do within the western world. Thank You

A long, very very long thoughts, feelings and comments regarding the banwave

I was wrote this in another topic but I felt like I could create a topic for it as well (since it's too long and includes my personal perspective) and express how I feel. Either incompetent mycrap admins or trigger happy "no objection at all to our decision or we ban you" type steam admins will most probably either lock or delete my post in here maybe even ban too because I don't agree with them but I don't give a shit either. I am writing this to mostly discharge myself from all this built up crap that filled me all the way up to my throat.
Both in their discord and in steam forums these are the things I got since morning.
- I got mocked by mycrap admins
- I got accused as cheater by some incompetents
- I got threatened with ban by steam moderators and when I replied to them with the same attitude, their incompetent brain considered me violent (I might be very angry but I am the last violent person in this world) and they permanently banned me from cb steam forums with the reason of threatening a moderator with violence... I really wanna hear their definition of violence, really I do. but I highly believe it was just an excuse to permanently ban me since they are just locking every topic they don't like and banning everyone who objects to their decisions... Steam is not so different than those either I see.

Their defense of banning house members is "You got benefitted from this glitch." right? But they didn't just banned my character. I have 2 characters, 1 is named MissSnowie member of Kingsbane, other one is SnowieAurora in a small house I made with my boyfriend. But they just ban my account entirely. Now how my other character SnowieAurora got any benefit from this?? How a character never joined any house got any benefit? I guess they would say "Well we don't have any option to ban a spesific character.". Well why would you have such an option. Because that would only effect that spesific character right, not the whole account? " :( " So.. it would be very very " :( " sad for you to not being able to totally effect it but have to suffice with partial effect. A big " :( " for you...
Moving on. If this is what they think, then they can just remove that 1033 silver coins and 2 blue unit kits I got right? I mean it can't be that hard right? But no. They must ban... or did we "benefitted" 1 million silver coins and lots of legendary gears from it that I don't know? Well, how could I now. I can't enter the game....
Now people are saying didn't you read anything about this? Didn't you look at their discord? Aren't you checking reddit? I'm sorry but do I have to? If there is something important about the game, you announce that in game. They have no problem of announcing anthing they want with ingame mail system right? The one that opens when you press Y. They have no problem with forcing you to do stupid surveys and if you don't, they keep showing it to you until you complete it right? Now tell me how hard it can be to announce something this important in game? In my opinion it's piece of cake...
but what they do is, "Oh hey, let's limit this in discord and reddit only so we can ban as many people as possible.". Now I came to reddit true. Because I believe this is the only place I can freely express myself without being locked and banned by some dictator moderators.
People saying this house and that house is known as glitch users and mycrap admins say they are investigating this for months right? So it's not something they heard just today or yesterday. If this is true, when I send join request why not showing me a notification saying "The house you are trying to join is currently being investigated as glitch use and joining may get you banned in future. Join at your own risk." ?? How the hell am I supposed to know any of this so called glitch or whatever it's called? Which after I listened both sides I believe it wasn't anything like that.
Aside from that, this isn't a glitch at the first place. What a glitch is, you doing something you normally "can not" do. It's not something you shouldn't do, it's you can not do. Like you normally can't go on top of a building but you use a glitch to get yourself on top of the building where you can keep firing arrows but enemy arrows can't hit you. This is what a glitch is. And no ban with this reason can be considered lawful. It is the devs fault, not others. If there is a glitch in game, you fix it, don't ban people. I played Battlefield too before. There were glitches which was allowing you to climb up to a hill where you normally can't do or go top of a building where you can't do. I played League of Legends too. There were bugs and glitches happening in that as well. There was a hero named Azir which if you would use it's special ability on tower, it was completely stopping the tower shooting. but none of those banned anyone because of they used a game error. EA fixed the glitch in next update and Riot Games closed ranked matches and fixed the glitch with a quick hotfix and reopened the ranked.
What they do however in this game, they are giving a button for marshals and ruling houses to kick anyone from the battle. and I don't believe there is not a single house that didn't used that button to kick someone to gain advantage. Imagine a brat playing gta online with a mod menu. Someone kills him, press kick, someone annoys him, press kick.
There is a reason why proper games have a vote kicking system. It's been made so no one person may kick someone out just because of he wants. and the irony here, this is exactly what mycrap admins do. Only difference is they press the ban account button instead of kick... Same with steam moderators as well. Whoever objects to them, they are taking it as insult and threatening with ban. If you object to being threatened you are getting banned. This happened twice to me in steam's cb forums. I am hoping not all steam moderators are like this and this is only belong to some hub moderators like cb hub moderators. Last time I got heavily insulted by people in my topic, they got nothing not even a warning. and when I responded them with the same language, so called moderators gave me a warning for avoiding language filter by altering profane words. and when I told them maybe they should first warn the provokative people or at least delete their comments (didn't say anything about my warning) they banned me for a day... So yeah, as a side note, this how steam forum is in conquerors blade section. They are very trigger happy and sooooooo easily get offended. Not even the gold colored people from guardians of galaxy 2 get offended that easily...
Yeah I keep getting lost in things I said because there are just so so many things to say with all this crap.
So what they could do to prevent this so called glitch? There is already a system that allows you to declare war for a fief right? Why not the house declares war gets reserved slots for that spesific fief??? But that would be too logical for those mycrap admins to think..
There is no law on Earth punishes someone because of someone else's crime. Everyone's crime are invidividual. but according to mycrap admins, if someone commits a crime, all of it's family members also must be imprisoned. It looks very obviously so ridiculous when you think it from this perspective right?
Some incompetents also say, didn't you know they were using glitch. and when I say no, they telling me not knowing doesn't make you innocent. No you genious. Not knowing the laws doesn't make you innocent. If you don't know smoking is a restricted in your area, it doesn't make you innocent. However it wasn't a crime to joining Kingsbane right? Not knowing what they do or not do has nothing to do with this. This saying would only apply if joining to Kingsbane itself was crime. and if it was to be a crime, where were the heads of the side taking so called admins for months??? They keep saying "Oh please forgive us for it's taking too long to punish them.". but in truth, this could have been found out a lot lot sooner. Just look at the after battle reports and ingame records of the said fiefs and here is all you need to know. They knew everything months ago and this whole thing was planned from months before. and keeping this announcement only limited to discord with no indication of which houses doing this is an obvious ambush trap.
If this was to be something being happening for months, they had months to warn everyone in game many times. but nope. "Wait until they get as many members as possible and so we can ban as many people as possible.". Like I said they are full of ego that even that kaeden guy's discord name starts with Overlord. The ego is real in this guy... Coincidence too. I was discussing about this with a very decent and normal language in their discord chat, then this full ego alien overlord guy said "what happened is happened" and 1 second later I got a message from their discord bot saying I got muted for 5 because of insulting others. Then I asked him to show me 1 insulting message of mine and I will leave their discord for good, of course since he can't find a single one, he just said "I'm not the one who muted you.". Is that so? There is someone there telling you she is got muted for 5 hours for an insult she never made and this is the answer you give?? I bet it wasn't you. I can't be fully sure though, but that coincidence.. However this is what I can be very sure of. In a matter like that, a decent person would say "I'm not the one who muted you but I will investigate this and get back to you.". But from who you are expecting such a decency.....
Also in addition to that, this ban wasn't made to create a fair game area. It's been made to cover up their shitty servers. Because lately servers started being unstable too much, many game breaking bugs started occuring (I was 2 times in matches where noone was able to capture any flags nor anyone was able to change troops in supply points nor heal horses), servers are even more shitty during territory wars and they are so incompetent to fix these problems. So what's the best thing to do then? Standard politican thing. "Do something else very very easy but very big and put it on the front page". Then everyone suddenly forgets how crappy the game is and starts cheering and applauding the admins... This is also another reason why they waited this long. This was an insurance for them to cover their shitty bugs and servers and it served well to them thanks to lots of braindead people. It's like all those problems about the game just vanished like poof when they heard entire alliance members got banwave. You can see how political deciveing method this is right?
As for myself.. I was already lost my fun and interest to this game. I was just playing with my boyfriend because it was more or less nice to play with him and was playing to unlock winged hussars because they looked very cool but at the end of it I saw they are not that good as I thought they were. and then this thing today.. I mean I don't even feel my account safe anymore. I truly don't... Who can guarantee in the next siege battle I will play, a bug will occur and I will get 1k more bronze then I should and because of I "benefitted" from that bug my account won't get banned again? Maybe even permanently this time... It's like how Bethesda became today with Fallout 76. and I can't put more time nor effort nor money to a game that have incompetent power abusive authroity hungry egoist admins who can just press the ban button whenever they want with some shitty incompetent excuses they make up with their more incompetent brains and send me an automated prewritten message this ban can't be appealed, can't be discussed, can't be object, can't be done anything...
I'm not expecting anyone to read, especially all of it nor find me right but neither I care about it. I started typing and couldn't stop. Maybe it becomes helpful to someone one day... If something is free in this money driven world, you are the product.. Remember that before you decide to use something given for free.

My very simple, reasonably effective Inside Track betting strategies.

I don't want to take up too much time from anyone reading this, as it's the 50,000th post about Inside Track. I'm just very bitter towards R* lately (removing the red dumpster from Stab City Survival was a vindictive, petty, asshole move and my last straw) and I want people to be able to game their system and not have to waste real life money on Shark Cards.
There isn't going to be much in the way of elaborate explanations or mathematical breakdowns here, just a dry list of my soft "rules" which enabled me to go from 20,000 chips to buying my Casino Penthouse in one day.
For starters, bet smartly. You can only take 20,000 chips from the teller every 48 minutes, so going broke is inconvenient. I would say start with 2,000 chip bets, maybe go up to 5,000 on "likely wins" (I'll point those out in a second) until you hit ~80,000 chips so you have a buffer. Then you can start making the 10,000 chip bets.
As an extra incentive, while I've been typing this I've been betting again, and I've made $300,000 in profit so far. It only took me about 45 minutes to finish this post.
Okay, so:
1: There is no strategy that works 100% of the time. Certain scenarios have a high chance of success, but you WILL lose on "safe" bets sometimes. That's okay. It'll still be profitable in the long run for you.
2: Play single events. "Main" events have no advantage to them, you have to wait 5 minutes to play one, and I have had a glitch for months where the 6 horses have been the same during every main event until I reset my GTAO session, but the winner is different each time.
3: R* has removed the ability to "reset" the race lineup by exiting out of the computer screen. Unless you have the patience to restart GTA every time you end up with a bad set of horses, it's easier to just power through bad races. You'll win some of them, and even if you don't, 30 seconds later you'll have a new race!
4: Most of my bets are on horse #1. If you don't want to utilize the more complicated strategies below, betting on #1 every single time should be profitable for you, just at a slower rate. This is not a new strategy of course, but it's worth mentioning. I find that when I get shafted with a bunch of really poor horses (e.g. Sir Scrambled, Tax The Poor, Better Than Nothing), #1 generally wins the most by a slight margin. Horse #1 still tends to work out well for me even when I end up with a bunch of horses I like. If I end up with a race where Horse #1 ALSO has (or ties for) the best odds, my win ratio for betting on Horse #1 is >95%. In short, if you find yourself in a scenario where you have no discernible "safe" bet, just go with horse #1 unless it's a TERRIBLE horse.
5: Some horses are absolute trash. I have run HUNDREDS of races, and Clapback Charlie, Tax The Poor, Wage of Consent, Feed the Trolls, Tea Ache Sea, Night-Time Mare, Stupid Money, Dead Heat Hattie, Better Than Nothing, and a few other horses I'm forgetting, have all lost every single race they were a part of. Several others have only won once or twice, but the aforementioned horses literally have a combined total of 0 wins in my entire time playing. I don't bet on these horses even when they're horse #1.
6: Of the very high odds (e.g. 30/1) horses, Old Ill Will and Money to Burn are the only ones I've had a decent number of wins with. A Tethered End has won for me a couple times, but I find he only wins in the #3 position under specific circumstances (see rule #11).
7: The main instance for me where my "bet on horse #1" strategy is overruled, are races where there is a horse with "EVENS" odds. I know, "EVENS" bets are really tedious and earn profit at a crawl, but they have the highest win percentage. No, they don't win every time, but it is much more profitable to bet on them every time they appear - regardless of outcome - than to play guesswork as to whether or not "it'll win/lose this time". If horse #1 has "EVENS", bet on it no matter what the other horses are. I think I only lost two times out of all the times I bet in that particular situation. If more than one horse has "EVENS" but neither one is horse #1, I generally bet on the one closer to the top (e.g. if horse #3 and horse #6 are both evens, I'll pick horse #3).
8: As a follow-up to the last tip, my ranking of the "EVENS" horses (for when you have to choose between them) is Sumptin Saucy > It's a Trap >> Total Belter >> Salt 'n' Sauce >>>> Snatched Your Mama >>> Dream Shatterer >> Lit as Truck.
9: The BEST horse is Omens and Ice. I have won nearly every race with him. I have a literal 100% win percentage when Omens and Ice is horse #1. The best thing is that he has 3/1 odds, so it's not as much of a crawl betting on him, and he is definitely VERY profitable. He overrules every other "rule" for me, no matter which # horse he is. He is the ONLY horse, of ANY odds, that I would pick over Sumptin Saucy. Outside of the "EVENS" horses, the rest of my top 5 horses are Lead is Out (3/1), Robocall (4/1), Hell for Weather (2/1), and Downtown Renown (4/1). Some of these horses seem to be more reliable than some of the EVENS horses.
10: If you find yourself in a situation where all of these options are unavailable (e.g. shitty horse #1, no EVENS horses, no Omens and Ice), I would generally just bet on the horse with the best odds. If NONE of the horses are ones you like, even the best odds ones, then go with #1 as per usual.
11: This is a VERY specific scenario, but if horse #1 is a trash horse, but the horse with the best odds is horse #6 (let's say it has 2/1 odds), and then horse #3 has slightly worse odds (e.g. 3/1 or 4/1), I actually find that horse #3 wins more often. This is the only scenario where I deliberately bet on #3 specifically, other than when it is an "EVENS" or specific horse. I have also sometimes had success doing this even with long-odds horses like A Tethered End.
12: If horse #5 and horse #6 BOTH have the best odds (e.g. both horses are 5/1 and all other horses are 6/1 or worse), one of them is probably (but not always) going to win. I generally bet on #5 every time for the sake of consistency, but I find it's pretty much a coin flil.
13: Don't panic! If you find yourself on a losing streak/war of attrition, ride it out. The ship will right itself. It just might take time. I hit 1,000,000 and then fell back down to nearly 700,000. But I kept going, and eventually I was up enough to buy my penthouse.
14: Take notes or memorize as much as you can about your races. Use your intuition. You might pick up on a pattern, good or bad, with a certain horse that I haven't noticed. Look at all 6 horses every single race before you bet. Using my tips and your own judgment, carefully pick the one that you believe has the best chances whenever possible. It's better to only win 10,000 on a "safe" pick than to lose it on an atypical, unlikely victory.
15: This is not "fast" money. It's relatively "easy", but unless you have incredible luck, it will take you at least a few hours to end up with a good seven-figure sum of profit.
And that's about it! I hope this helps some people, especially newer players, in making some extra coin.

Ultimate Gambling Guide for GTA Online - odds, probabilities, and optimal strategies

Since the Diamond Casino update, I have seen a large number of 12-year-olds posting Blackjack memes on this sub. As a parent, this has me very worried.
On top of that, I have seen some of the most trustworthy GTA Youtubers giving flawed gambling advice, which can have damaging impact on their gullible audiences.
So that's why I decided to write this up, to educate everyone on the subject, so there will be no more misunderstandings.
(2020 Update down at the bottom.)
If you're one of those Youtubers that wants to use this information in a video, feel free to do so. The more people (especially kids) that become educated about gambling, the better.
But then also please go back and review your own work, and delete or edit the videos that are giving out the wrong advice, like where you're saying you have "a good strategy for making money with roulette", or some other nonsense that I've heard this week. Delete that please.
Before I get into the individual games, I need to discuss a few concepts first, that will make understanding the rest a lot easier.

Expected return and variance
A game like Roulette or Slots has a fixed expected return on your bets. This is a percentage that you have no way of influencing. Say you are flipping a coin against a friend, and you both put up $1. The winner gets the pot. Since the odds are even at 50%, in the long run, you will expect to break even. Your expected return is 100% of your bet.
But imagine if you would play this coin flipping game in a casino against the house. On the "house rules" listed at the table they would probably say that you would only get 95 cents back for every win, while you are forfeiting a dollar on every loss. Would you still play?
Sounds stupid to do so, but still, everybody does it. Every bet they place on Roulette, every coin they put into a Slot machine, is based on the same concept.
Those few cents they take on every bet are their profit margin, and has paid for all the Vegas lights, the Mirage volcanoes, and the Bellagio fountains. Make no mistake - casino gambling games are not designed to make you lose, because sure, you can get lucky on a single night, but they are designed to make them win. That's the beauty of it. They can both exist at the same time.
Too many people that don't see how this works, are just destined for disaster. Just because you went on a lucky streak and won 8 games out of 10, does not mean that flipping coins is a profitable game, or that choosing tails is a winning strategy. Always be aware of the house edge, your true chances of winning, and just realize that you got lucky. There is no such thing as a strategy in flipping a coin that will give you a higher expected return, so it's just pure gambling, just like Slots and Roulette.
Most casino games are made in such a way, that your expected return is a little under 100%. This means that from every dollar bet at the tables, the casino expects to keep a few cents. For individual players, results may vary. Some will win, most will lose. But for the house, it doesn't matter. They take millions of bets each day, so for them, the expected average works out a lot sooner. In short: the house always wins.
When looking at the house edge, we're talking about the expected long-term result, based on the game's house rules. But for a player, it can take literally tens of thousands of hands or spins before you also reach this average number. Until that time, you can experience huge upswings and downswings, that are the result of nothing but short-term luck, which is called variance.
Some games and some bets have a much higher variance than others, which means your actual results will differ enormously from what you're expected to be at.
Take for example betting on red/black at the Roulette table. This is a low-variance proposition, because it has a high percentage chance of occurring, and a low payout.
Contrast this with betting single numbers in Roulette, which only win once every 38 spins on average. This bet has a much higher variance, meaning you can easily hit a dry spell, and not hit anything for 200 bets in a row, or you can see a single number hit three times in five consecutive spins. This is not a freak occurrence in high-variance bets.
Even though the expected return in both these bets is exactly the same, there's a huge difference in variance, causing massive differences in short-term results, which can go both ways. You need to be aware of this, before you decide what types of bets you are comfortable with placing.

Gamblers' Fallacy
Another thing to realize, is that each individual game, hand, or spin, is completely independent from the one(s) before it, and after it.
Gamblers tend to believe, that the chance of a certain outcome is increased, based on previous results.
The most famous example comes from the Casino de Monte Carlo, where the Roulette wheel managed to land on black 26 times in a row. Gamblers lost many millions during that streak, all frantically betting on red, believing that the odds were in favor of the wheel coming out on red, after producing so many blacks. This is not true. Each round is completely independent, and the odds are exactly the same.
You will hear people say things like a Blackjack table being "hot" or "cold", which is completely superstitious, and should be ignored. The exception was when Blackjack was being dealt from a shoe. It made card counting possible. But with the introduction of shuffle machines, and continuous shuffling like is being used in GTA, this no longer exists.
This is also why "chasing your losses" is a very bad idea. After being on a losing streak for some time, many gamblers believe that now it's their turn to start winning. So they will often increase their bet size, believing that when their predicted winning streak comes around, they will win back their losses, and more.
The reality of it, more often than not, is that people will indeed start playing higher and higher limits, until they are completely broke. Nobody is ever "due for a win". There is never a guarantee that you're about to start winning. In fact, the opposite is more likely to be true. You are, after all, in a casino.

Betting systems
Some people like to think that they have a fool-proof betting system, like the Martingale system. Simply increase or even double your bet when you lose, and keep doing that until you win. In theory, this system will always win. So that's why table limits were introduced, and where the system fails.
If you start at the Roulette table, playing red/black, with a small 750 chip wager, and just double your bet every time you lose, you only have to lose 6 times in a row, before you will be betting the table limit of 48,000, just to get that 750 chip profit.
Sure, you can go on all evening without this happening, winning 750 chips each time, but this losing streak only has to happen once, and you're bust. Any betting system like this is ill-advised, because you are hugely increasing your so-called "risk of ruin", and that's what we were trying to avoid.
And even if your starting bet is only 100 chips, after only nine straight losses, and nine doubled bets, you are betting the table limit at 50,000 chips. If you lose that bet, you're 100,000 chips in the hole, with no way to recover that with your 100 chip base wager.
So don't believe anyone that says this is the perfect system to always win in the casino. Sooner or later they will understand why they were wrong, when they're asking you for a loan.

Set your limits BEFORE you start playing
One final point before we get into the games, a general tip for people that head out to play: money management.
Just like in real life, before you go to the casino, decide on a maximum amount that you are WILLING TO LOSE.
Bet small enough, so that amount can last you through the entire evening, and you will not be tempted to run to the ATM to continue playing.
Considering GTA money, some people will be comfortable losing 1% of their GTA bank balance, some people will be comfortable with gambling away 5% of their total GTA savings. It's up to you what you can handle. Decide for yourself where it will start to hurt, and don't cross that line.
But whatever number you decide on, as soon as you lost that amount, get up and walk away. Don't chase your losses, stick to your limits, and accept that this has not been your day. There is always another game tomorrow. Always agree with yourself on a simple stop-loss rule, how much you would want to lose at most, and simply stop playing when you get there.
Same goes for winning. You can decide on a number, how much profit you would like to take away from the casino. You can go on a hot streak and be up half a million in a short period of time, but if you would continue to play longer, looking for more, chances are that you're going to lose it all back.
Most people are happy with doubling their daily casino budget, for example. Others are looking for 10 bets profit in Blackjack. Whatever you choose, when you hit that number, you can stop playing and bank your profits, or you can continue playing if you're still enjoying the games, but then only just play minimum bet sizes. Then you're just playing for fun, not for money. You've already made your profit, so simply keep it in your pocket, and don't risk losing it again.
Either way, decide on what your money management strategy will be, and STICK TO IT.

Casino games in GTA Online
Now, I'm going to dive into the games that you can find at the Diamond casino, ordered from worst to best.

6) Slots
Generally the rule is this: the less strategy a game has, the worse it is for the player. And with slots, this is definitely the case.
The only influence you have, is choosing what type of machine you're going to play. Basically, there are two types of slot machines:
-high frequency, low payout slots
-low frequency, high payout slots
In the first type, there is no huge (progressive) jackpot on offer, just your average selection of prizes that don't go up to crazy amounts.
This will result in a player having many more spins resulting in a win. The amounts that you win on the bigger prizes, will be smaller, but they do come around more often. This type of slot machine has a lower variance, which means that your money should last you longer, winning many smaller prizes along the way to keep you going.
The second type of slot machine lures you in with the temptation of a huge jackpot prize. Even though the long-term expected return on these machines is the same as the previous type, the prize distribution is hugely different. The large jackpot prize weighs heavily on the scale of expected return, but the chance of it hitting is extremely small. This results in a much higher variance on this type of machine. Usually your money will go down very fast, because the smaller prizes are less rewarding than on the other type of machine.
At the Diamond, the info screen says the player return at slots is set at 98.7%. This means that, on average, for every maximum bet of 2,500 chips, you expect to lose 32.5 chips.
This might not seem like a lot, but the danger of slots is that the game is extremely fast. You can spin about once every 6 seconds, which would result in an expected LOSS of about 20,000 chips per hour of playing.
But again, in this long-term expected number, the large jackpot awards are also factored in, and as long as you don't hit those big prizes, you'll see your money go down a lot faster.
In any case, thank heavens the max bet is only set at 2,500, or else we would see more players go bankrupt at alarming rates.
Optimal strategy for slots:
There is none. Because after betting, you have no more influence over the outcome. The only choices you have, is what type of machine you want to play at, and how much money you are going to risk. And those are all personal preference. As long as you stick to your loss limits, as discussed above, there's no harm in having a go every once in a while, hoping to get a lucky hit. Just realize that you don't have a high chance of scoring a big win, so as soon as you do, get up and walk away.

5) Roulette
Roulette is also a game where you have no influence over the outcome. There is zero skill involved. You place your bet, and that's it.
In traditional French roulette, a table has only the single-zero, but of course, for American casinos that wasn't enough of a house edge, so they simply doubled their profits by adding a second zero. The house edge was increased from 1/37 to 1/19, which is huge.
This makes playing on a double-zero roulette table by definition a sucker's play.
The payouts scale evenly, which means that a bet on a single number, and a bet on half of the numbers, and everything in between, yields the same expected return. The only difference, again, being the variance that you are willing to subject yourself to.
The player return for double-zero Roulette for all bets is 94.74%.
Except for the 5-number bet, which can only be made by placing a bet on the two top rows that contain 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. The expected return on this bet is lower: 92.1%. This is because it only pays out 6-1. Why? Well, the number 36 isn't divisible by 5, so the greedy people that came up with double-zero Roulette had to round it off someway, and as expected, it wasn't going to be in the players' favor.Just remember that that 5-number bet is the worst bet at the table, and should be avoided. All other possible bets have the same expected return.
So it really doesn't matter how you spread your bets, if you bet only one chip, or if you litter the entire table with a bucketload of chips. Each chip you put out there, has the same expected return, so there is no strategy that will improve your long-term results.
Assuming that you're betting the maximum table amount of 50,000 chips, you will be looking at an expected loss of about 2,630 chips per spin. Considering that a round takes about 45 seconds to complete, your expected LOSS at the GTA Roulette tables will be around 200,000 chips per hour of playing.
Optimal strategy for double-zero roulette:
Stay away. Stay far away.

4) Three Card Poker
With Three Card Poker, we come across the first game where there is actually some strategy involved. You get to look at your cards, and then decide if you want to fold, and surrender your ante, or double your bet.
Additionally, you can choose to place a side bet on "Pair Plus", which offers progressive payouts.
There are some websites out there that ran all the numbers with computer simulations, and even though I would like to quote the source here, these websites are understandably littered to the max with online casino ads, so that's why I have decided against doing that.
Optimal strategy for Three Card Poker:
For this game you only have to remember one strategy rule: Always bet on any high card queen-six-four or better, and fold any high card queen-six-three or lower. That's it. Just don't forget to double check if you're not folding a straight or a flush, and you'll be fine.
This strategy will result in an expected return of 96.63%.
The Pair Plus sidebet, with the payout table that is used at the Diamond casino, gives you an expected return of 97.68%, which is actually a bit better than the main ante bet.
So by playing both wagers, you're reducing your expected losses per bet, but since you're betting more, you're also increasing your expected loss per hour.
My advice would obviously be to not play this game at all, but if you do, put as much of your bet as possible on the Pair Plus, while making our Ante bet as small as you can.
To be able to compare it to the other games at the Diamond, let's stay on that 50,000 maximum wager, meaning making your ante bet 35,000, and your pair plus bet 15,000, if the table would allow it.
This results in an expected loss of about 1,525 chips per hand, and with a round taking about 45 seconds, this adds up to an expected LOSS of around 120,000 chips per hour of playing. In comparison, if you would only play the ante bet for 50,000 per hand, you expect to lose 1,685 chips per hand, which means an expected LOSS of about 135,000 chips per hour. So the more out of that 50,000 wager you can put on the "Pair Plus" sidebet, the better.
Even though it may be fun to try out this game for a bit, since there's only one simple strategy rule to follow, you'll soon find yourself robotically grinding down your bankroll until it has vaporized. You're not missing out on anything if you skip these tables, there is no real challenge.
Just like with Roulette and Slots, if you want to try it out nonetheless, you can just bet the minimum amounts and only play for fun, so it won't matter if you win or lose.

3) Blackjack
Blackjack is the most complicated game by far. Simply because the player has to make a series of decisions, which will largely decide the outcome. Luckily, there is such a thing as an optimal strategy, which will be outlined below.
However, the strategy is also dependent on the house rules. These not only affect your expected return, but in some places also your decisions.
Here are the house rules at the Diamond casino:
-The game uses 4 standard decks, and a continuous shuffle.
-Blackjack pays 3 to 2, dealer checks for early blackjack.
-No insurance offered, no surrender.
-Dealer stands on soft 17.
-Double down on any two cards.
-Player can split only once, but doubling after split is allowed.
-Seven-Card Charlie.
Under these rules, and following the "basic strategy" chart, your expected return at Blackjack is a shade under 99.6%, which is extremely good for a casino game, that's why Blackjack should be your table game of choice.
But it comes at a price: you are going to have to memorize the relatively complicated strategy chart, or at least stick it to your monitor until you have it in your head. But in case you ever stumble into a real-life casino, you won't regret having this table memorized, so I would definitely advise you to work on that.
The strategy chart might look complicated at first, but you will be able to notice certain patterns. Your decisions are mainly based on the dealer's upcard, which is basically divided into a weak card (2 to 6), and a strong card (7 to ace).
When a dealer shows a strong card, you will be hitting more often with the risk of going bust, but when a dealer shows a weak card, you're not taking that risk, and you will be standing more, but also doubling and splitting more. You want to increase your bets when the odds are in your favor, and get out cheap when they're not.
But it also helps to take some time to think about why a certain advice is given. For example, why does it say that you always have to split two eights, even against an ace. Well, that's because two eights equals 16, which is the worst total you can have. It's better to split them up, and give yourself a chance of finding a 17, 18 or 19 with the next card. Once you see the logic in that, you'll have one less thing to memorize.
The playing advice in the basic strategy chart is a result of computer simulations that ran all possible outcomes against each other, and produced the most profitable decision for each situation. So you can't go wrong following it.
Optimal strategy for Blackjack with Seven-Card Charlie
The added house rule of Seven-Card Charlie, adds a small advantage for the player, and it does influence a few strategy decisions. For example, you might have a 14 with 6 cards, against the dealer's 5 upcard.
Normally this would be an automatic stand, but if you're only one card away from the Seven-Card Charlie, meaning an instant win for the player, regardless of the dealer's hand, it turns it into a hit.
Here's the most optimal strategy chart to follow for the Diamond Casino house rules: https://prnt.sc/olct6g
You'll see that two fives are missing from the chart, and that's because you never split them. You treat them as a regular 10. You also never split tens. Just stand on 20.
If you follow this strategy religiously, even with a maximum wager of 50,000 chips, you only expect to lose about 215 chips per hand, and with rounds taking about 30 seconds, that amounts to an expected LOSS of 26,000 chips per hour, which is only half a bet. A small price to pay for an hour of entertainment.
But since the expected return is so extremely close to 100%, you will see more positive short-term results than with other games. But obviously it can also swing the other way. Again, this is supposed to be the game where your money lasts you the longest, but always set your loss and win limits before you sit down. That rule simply always applies.

Still, even with optimal strategies applied, all these games are expected to lose you money in the long run. So betting any kind of large amounts is not advised. If you simply want to enjoy playing these games, there's nothing wrong with betting a minimal amount. Playing these games for a longer period of time will already cost you money anyway, since your daily property fees will still be charged while you're playing in the GTA casino. As long as you can play for fun, there's nothing wrong, but when you see yourself betting insane chunks of your entire bank balance to try to recoup some unfortunate losses, you're doing it wrong.
As the commercials in Britain all correctly say: when the fun stops, stop.

2) Virtual Horse Racing
Now onto the good stuff. I ran some numbers, and I believe Rockstar has made a mistake with the horse racing game. Because as it stands, and if I read the numbers correctly, this game is actually profitable for the player. You can actually make money with this, at least, until Rockstar figures out their mistake and patches it.
If anyone wants to jump into the math and double check this to make sure, please do so. I will add any corrections to this post. This is one of those "to good to be true" things, so I keep thinking that I might have overlooked something. So please verify it if you can.
The setup is this. There is a pool of 100 horses, each with their own attached payout. These are divided into 3 groups, ranked by their odds. From each group, 2 horses are randomly selected to provide a pool of six runners for you to bet on.
Now it's not an actual race you're looking at. You are looking at a raffle. This is important to realize.
Each horse gets awarded a certain number of raffle tickets. The favorites get awarded more tickets than the underdogs, and therefore, have a higher chance of winning.
If this distribution works like it does in the real-life casinos, then the raffle tickets are awarded according to the betting odds.
Example 1: imagine a race with 3 runners, all have 2/1 odds, representing a 33.3% chance of winning. (Because 2/1 means 2 AGAINST 1, so 3 total.) In this case, each horse gets one third of the raffle tickets, giving them an equal chance to win.
Example 2: imagine a race with 3 runners, one has 1/1 odds (or EVENS), representing a 50% chance of winning, and the other two horses are marked up as 3/1, with a 25% chance of winning. The favorite gets half the tickets, the other two get a quarter of the tickets each.
A ticket is drawn, and you'll have a winner.
It doesn't matter in this game which horse you bet on, because the expected return is always the same: 100% or break-even, for the above examples.
Now, what happens if the percentages don't exactly add up to 100%?
They must add up to 100%, because there will always be a winner. And only one winner.
So when this is the case, the actual winning chances of the horses are adjusted to meet the 100% requirement, using their payout odds to determine the scale.
So, if the represented percentages add up to more than 100%, the actual winning chances of the runners will be DECREASED, resulting in all bets becoming losing propositions for the players.
Example: In a 6-horse race, all runners are listed at 4/1, representing a 20% chance. Only with six runners that amounts to 120%. So all chances are scaled down by 1/6th, to end up at 100%.
This means your horse's chances are reduced from 20% to 16.67%, turning it into a losing bet: 5 times you will lose your bet, and 1 time you will win, but only get 4 bets back in this instance, instead of 5. A losing bet in the long run.
This is the type of odds that you find in regular casinos, with fields as large as 15 runners to bet on, where the assumed winning chances always add up to more than 100%, therefore are decreased for all runners, resulting in a house edge.

But in GTA Online's Inside Track, there are other scenarios, because of the small field, and the way that they are put together.
In some cases, the represented percentages when added up, are LESS than 100%, meaning that the actual winning chances of all runners, are INCREASED.
This creates profitable bets for the players, because in the long run, you're expecting to win more money than you lose. This is a gambler's dream, pure and simple.
So, according to the in-game information, the three groups of horses are divided as follows:
-Favorites: EVENS to 5-1
-Outsiders: 6-1 to 15-1
-Underdogs: 16-1 to 30-1

Let's take the two most extreme examples to show what's happening.
The worst possible field to bet on: two runners at EVENS, two runners at 6-1, and two runners at 16-1.
EVENS represents a 50% chance, 6-1 is 14.29%, and 16-1 is 5.88%. Add those up and you land on a total of 140.34%.
This means that the actual winning chances of the horses are decreased by 28.75% (to get that 140% down to 100%), which makes betting on this field extremely unwise.
A horse at EVENS will only come in as a winner 35.63% of the time, instead of 50%,
a horse at 6-1 will only win 10.18% of the time,
and an underdog at 16-1 will only win 4.19% of the time.

The expected return on a bet on any of the horses in this field is only 71.26%, so a maximum bet of 10,000 chips on any of these horses holds an expected LOSS of 2,875 chips.
These returns are the same, because the winning chances are scaled equally, according to the payout numbers. So it really doesn't matter which horse you bet on, in the long run, you expect the same results.
But as explained before, it does influence variance, and therefore your short-term result, which can swing both ways.

But now, the best possible field to bet on: two runners at 5-1, two runners at 15-1, and two runners at 30-1.
Odds at 5-1 represents a winning chance of 16.67%, 15-1 odds means 6.25% chance, and 30-1 odds means a 3.23% chance of winning. Add these six horses together, and you only get 52.285%.
This means that, to get from 52% to 100%, the actual winning chances of these horses will be almost doubled! Multiplied by 1.91 to be exact.
So the 5-1 favorites will now win 31.88% of the time, instead of 16.67%,
the 15-1 runners will win 11.95% of the time,
and the underdogs at 30-1 odds will still win 6.17% of the time.
When betting on this field, the expected return on your bet is 191.25%!
This means that a max bet of 10,000 chips will result in an expected PROFIT of 9,125 chips.
This is printing money, if there ever was such a thing.
Optimal strategy for Virtual Horse racing
So all you have to do, is only bet high on the games where you have an expected positive return, and bet the absolute minimum on the games where your expected return is negative. Or back out of the racing game to refresh the field.
If you don't have a way to quickly add up all the percentages, and until somebody shows up here with a neatly formatted table, just use a few general rules of thumb:
-Always bet the maximum on a race with favorites at 2/1 and 3/1 or higher in it.
-Simply skip all races with two favorites at EVENS in it, and at EVENS and 2/1. Or bet the minimum, if you can't skip or refresh the field.
-To decide if you should play races with other favorite combinations EVENS and 3/1, EVENS and 4/1, EVENS and 5/1, or two favorites at 2/1, the payouts on the other four runners determine whether or not it's profitable to play them. The results of betting on these fields vary from an expected 1,330 chip loss (worst-case) to an expected 1,680 chip win (best-case), with a max bet of 10,000 chips.
But if you're not looking for another strategy chart, you might just want to skip these borderline cases, and just cherry pick the best ones, which are easy to recognize, and with which you can never go wrong.
It's difficult to put a number on an expected win-rate, because it all depends on which fields you get presented with, but it's not unreasonable to state that you can maintain a steady win-rate of around 200,000 chips per hour, with about 50 seconds per race.
Remember, you're not trying to win every race. You're trying to win the most money per hour. So don't sweat it when you bet on a 4/1 favorite, and lose a couple of races in a row. It will still be more profitable in the long run. You have the math on your side.
To reduce negative variance, always bet on the favorite, when betting on profitable fields. We're not gambling anymore, we're grinding out a steady profit. We want to keep the swings to a minimum.
I contacted Rockstar support to verify if this is indeed how it works, but the only reply I got after 6 weeks is that they were "looking into it".
User u/Garsant made a useful Excel-worksheet, available for you to download, where you can quickly type in the payouts on the horses, to see if it produces a profitable bet or not. You can find it in his post here: https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/ekp8na/gta_online_inside_track_odd_calculato

1) Wheel of Fortune
The number one profitable casino game in GTA Online is obviously the Wheel of Fortune, because it costs you nothing to play.
Unfortunately, you only get one free spin per day, but it holds great value, so make sure you do it.
With a chance to win a super car, vehicle discounts, expensive mystery prizes (which also can be vehicles), and a lot of cash and chips, the expected return on a single spin is around $100,000 in value.
So don't forget your daily spin, it's definitely worth your time.

2020 Update:
As of the Diamond Casino Heist update, the Inside Track horse racing is confirmed to still be as profitable as outlined above. The only thing that seems to be changed, is that you can't refresh the field anymore by backing out of the screen. This does affect your hourly rate in a negative way, but does not change the fact that this game has a huge positive expected return, and should be your go-to when you're trying to take money from the house, without having Lester's nagging voice in your ear. That should also be worth something.

And with that, I conclude my 5,000 word essay on gambling in GTA. Questions, comments, feel free to add your input to this guide.

Cliffs:
-Gambling games should only be played for fun, not for big money. You should expect to lose in the long run. The house always wins.
-A casino game doesn't have a memory, and betting systems don't work.
-Set your limits before you start, how much you are willing to lose or win, and then walk away when you get there.
-Don't play slots, roulette, or three card poker.
-Only play blackjack following a basic strategy chart (https://prnt.sc/olct6g).
-Inside Track betting can be played profitably, if you only bet on fields WITHOUT a heavy favorite.
-Wheel of Fortune is always your best bet, because it's a free bet.

Ultimate Gambling Guide for GTA Online - odds, probabilities, and optimal strategies

This is not mine, the creator of this is u/enderpiet

Here's the most optimal strategy chart to follow for the Diamond Casino house rules:https://prnt.sc/olct6g

RDO: Overhaul (ideal future, ideas and tweaks)

This may come off as another bitch-post and maybe it is, but were in lock-down and the only responsible thing to do now is obsess over the game that I think has the most wasted potential of it’s generation.

So, here comes a wall-of-words with the intent of proposing additions, patches and adjustments in gameplay/ menu mechanics and general quality of life fixes that I hope come to this game either in this generation or the next. I’ll keep the common complaints short and place them at the end, but I will list them b/c this game has too much potential to still be saddled with day one bugs so far down the road.

Yes, I will be submitting this through the website where Rockstar ignores it’s customers.

Now my proposals on how to improve the quality of life, engagement and fun-factor. Credit to u/mannishman11 who posted a list of suggestions on this subreddit that I’ll be taking some ideas from and building upon.

**The hope**

The riverboat update/expansion:
Exactly what it sounds like. Use the template of one of the current riverboats or create a new “megaboat”. It’d be a place to congregate within a lobby but also house all games available in free roam in one convenient location (main deck), high stakes, no limits poker (top deck) and in the boiler room there’d be a fight club. No killing but you can be dazed and no tonics (rest/spectate to recover at an accelerated rate).

This should be a hedonistic playground for the high levels. Somewhere for them to congregate, flex just a little bit and finally something to spend their money on (and risk losing it all if they end up on the wrong side of lady luck.

You’d access the riverboat from the St. Denis docks for a $100 entrance fee for each time you travel to it. and it’d have a dress code (not in love with that idea, but I like the idea of forcing players to dress up/not all look like bruised and battered heathens all the time lol).

so you got too much money and nothing to spend it on, huh? how about you come on down to St. Dennis and risk it all (no limit games restricted to player vs player / no player vs cpu).

Newsboy/telegram
(In lobby mass message | mannish elaboration) Free roam is far too isolated and those looking for potential posse members /new friends/or players just looking for a fist fight have no option other than to use bullets and rudimentary emotes (or their guns/fists) to make their intent clear. And that’s only if you happen to cross another player on the massive map. This can be solved by introducing the newsboy into RDO or Implementing a “telegram” service at the post offices.

How it’d work:
Travel to a newsboy or post office>interact with PO or NB by using L2 (I’ll be speaking in PS4)>add the option to write a message to the lobby by pressing square while focused on the PO or NB and then write a message or provide a button propped list of options to blast out (posse up anyone? Bounty hunt? Duel? etc.

Everyone in that lobby would get a prompt that there is a message from a fellow player at the post office/at camp, if they choose to travel to and read the message they can accept or ignore. If they were to accept (provided by button prompts) they’d be spawned next to the inviting player and now you can interact with a like-minded player in your lobby without having to “soft-grief” to invite a player to a fight or just be alone if you happen to want to play with friends/others but none are on when you are.

You get 3 lobby message per lobby session and this'd need to be monitored by R* to prevent spamming/soliciting

DUEL (mannish tweak)
This is cowboy 101 and I’m disappointed that there is no variant of a duel in RDO atm, so let’s fix that!

approach a player > focus on that player with L2 > add the option to challenge to a duel by pressing square> if they accept then that brings up a menu prompt and after long-pressing start you are brought to the duel menu.

variants:
classic: opposing ends duel (possibly with the single player mechanics adapted to RDO).

Paces: Start back to back and take 10 paces in either direction. Your camera will be in a “cinematic state” (A high angle shot that slowly zooms in on you until the count of ten has been reached. At that point your camera whips around to face the opponent and you attack and react. Those that employ quickdraw should have a massive advantage over those who try to use the standard autolock. Also, maybe add some effects to the “paces” tighten the tension and show your players nervousness

1 shot: classic opposing ends duel, but with only one bullet in each players side arm of choice. You take your shot on the mark and if you don’t win with the gun then it’s down to blades and fists.

There could also be auto prompts/telegrams to go out to the lobby when a duel had been agreed to to allow the other players to migrate to the area and spectate and possibly bet if they choose. There would have to be a safe area applied to the area to cut down on griefers. Players can fight each other while waiting in queue. All combat is cancelled for any spectators who may be onlooking once the duel is underway. The winner of a duel will have the opportunity to either leave or take on any challengers if they choose to do so.

MELEE (cannot possibly happen in the immediate because of the assumed need for additional motion cap.)
I’ve been playing this game too god damn long and I’m sick of shooting everything when this game has the foundation for so much more. I can’t find it now, but there was a post not too long ago showing some of the advanced melee (machete) fighting that had been scripted into the single player (that I’d honestly forgotten about). I feel like that’d be too much to ask, as the world is now, but eventually id like for melee to be elaborated on to come close to what could be.

Some of the most fun I’ve had is when free aim was first introduced to the showdown modes and I’d be able to dodge bullets in the wind while charging the either panicking or retreating opponent. Choosing to bring a knife to a gunfight and killing your opponent is something I want to experience more and I think others would as well.

But the variety dries up quickly. melee controls should be refined so that the player can better dictate if they want to tackle or attempt a standing attack while charging at an enemy.

obviously we'd need more tackle animations and more tackle counter animations and of course more creative executions.

Also the melee ability cards need to be buffed. If I run with of single purpose, Iron Lung and fool me once I should be tanky, especially if all of those cards are fully upgraded. I don’t want the advantage over shooters, I just want it to be viable to run a melee build if you play smartly (use cover and invest in abilities). As it is now there is an entire set of melee based ability cards that go unused for the most part.

Slippery bastard/ Return of the bastard
This card needs to be “re-buffed” to it’s original strength/effect with one caveat: it has a 10 second “afterburn” where, as the slippery bastard user, once you exit your deadeye state your enemy can immediately return to auto aiming, but you will still be free aim only for the next 10 seconds. I feel like that is a far better compromise than what they’ve currently done to SB.

Also, You should be unpaintable in SB.

I always looked at it as a way o make a melee build workable and an invitation to free aim kill me if you are so intent on killing me. You used to be able to sense the panic when an opponent had the crutch of auto aim swept from under their feet. That should be a thing again.

Racing/unleash the horses
The race series has become my guilty pleasure just in the last month. I’m addicted and I want more! In case you weren’taware there is a strong community in the race series where the appeal is mostly respect and chasing the win. I know this because I’ve won enough races to know that no one is there for the money.

In the here and now: I’d like to see more race styles: Long distance/marathon style point to point (like the Van horn to black water run from single player), team relay lap races, cart/chariot races in either solo or duos (one driver, one shootecombatant) and traditional races with no weapon spawns, just pure skill and knowledge of the maps with a little pushing and shoving and perhaps a machete or two along the way.

Also, and I hope this isn’t controversial because I’ve always found it silly. Don’t normalize the horses! We paid for and saddled up the horses we want and come to know and love them for how they handle in free roam. It takes the spit out of a race to have rubber band physics bring the pack back into the race when you’d left them behind fair and square.

If you come out with a war horse then know that you are not going to win by racing clean so be a bully and use the mass and strength of your horse as a weapon to at least try and neutralize the faster horses. Alternatively if you're out there with an Arabian then you should do everything you can to avoid contact and get to wide open spaces to let your speed do the work. This would need a reworking of the race collision detection(which is needed anyway), but Id like the strategy that this would introduce and more importantly my fast horse will also feel fast while in a race, hopefully.

If you come out with a saddler or a Shire you’re not winning. And that’s ok because you signed up for a race and you brought a slug as your steed (though stricter matchmaking can solve the disparity between the OG’s and new-comers).

Finally, I dream of a race that takes you from one side of mount Shan and ends on the other side of it after racing and working around the cliffs and ledges near the peak of the mountain; would also love courses in, Tall trees, NE new Hanover, and the heartlands.

Bandits (expansion/role | Mannish tweak)
Banks, passenger trains, stores, and civilians are now fair game The mechanics would work similar or exactly as in single player.

I imagine there’d be free roam events and “search and shoot” missions that surround this role, but those are basic and not worth my time. I’d much rather talk about my idea for “who runs this town”:

If you, as a bandit or a bandit posse, survive enough npc police and maybe 3 rounds of bounty hunters then you should trigger a mode where bounty hunters can keep coming but now licensed bounty hunter players will now be alerted that you’ve taken over a town and those bounty hunter characters should be given the option to join the fight to liberate the town from the agitating posse or ignore it.

While under their control the person or posse will steadily collect money from the local shops. That money is theirs after a certain amount of time has elapsed. Or if you’re able to liberate the town then you collect the cash.

So if you think you’re a badass and want to try and liberate a town by yourself you can try, ditto for if you’re able to rustle up a posse. That town becomes unavailable to take over after 1 “seige” if you are in a posse that took over a town then that counts for your one chance for the day (possibly more limitations to prevent spamming).

Bounty hunters
NPC bounty hunters are a drag in RDO. I personally try to nurse a healthy bounty so that real bounty hunters have a chance to come and get me. I don’t want to fight a small army of NPC’s, especially at the ridiculous rate that they keep coming after you. If I wanted to do that I could just start killing cops in St. Dennis.

My solution: every bounty is collectable by any license holding bounty hunter (so basically anyone. This could also be implemented in a way by a toggle option to “deny npc bounty hunters”. A player with a bounty on their head would glow red and their bounty would be displayed over their head (above their gamer tag).
I imagine this'd create a ton of tension the next time you cross paths with a fellow player who seems to be staring a bit too hard at you and your $25 bounty.

Either that or give me the ability to evade the NPC bounty hunters as I can do in single player.

Also, bounty hunters should only get their reward if they’re able to bring in the target alive.

There’s nothing more anti-climatic than getting the notification that you’re being hunted after carefully growing your bounty only to have the chase end with an explosive round. No killing, but the target should be able to be downed (with their health returning slowly over time so they have a chance to slip the hogtie and make a run for it). This keeps the "fight for the bounty" alive longer and ups the competition factor.

Horse rustling/breaking (role ?)
Intended mainly to give wild horses a reason to exist and part of the larger “bandit overhaul”. Wild horses can now be sold at the stables after a successful breaking in. They can also be saddled, but no wild horse should have better stats than the breed horses for sale at the stable (wild horses should match the lowest stat available for that horse breed in the stables).

Additionally you should be able to sell your owned horses for half the original price, instead of purely discarding them.

Saddles should be able to be edited after purchased and sold for half the original price.

Embrace modders ala Fallout 4
If RDO can create an open, creative marketplace for mods similar to what happened with FO4 then this game gets a new lease on life and potentially becomes immortal. There'd have to be restrictions based on competitive advantage, but if it can be done then it'd change the game.

Pack mule/donkey You should be allowed to buy a pack mule and one of several large capacity saddles to equip. But there has to be some risk. I say you can have your pack mule, but as long as it is in use it is accessible to everyone so your “treasure” can be stolen if you’re not on guard.

The donkey is as fast as a scrawny nag and has unlimited stamina.

I’d like to see this implemented with a “gold panner” role, but don’t have much of an idea how to make that enjoyable.

Farming role (mannish)
I have no interest in it, but I do have interest in rustling your cattle/horses. As long as bandits are able to add an element of risk then I’d love to see people get the farming role that seems to be so popular here.

Kayak/white water race
Because why not! A 16 head race via kayak down the Dakota or on flatiron lake with stormy weather.

Triathlon Self-explanatory. Horseback>Kayak/swimming>Footrace

Rodeo
Another idea based on bringing players together and getting them away from the job-like grind. Maybe hosted at McFarland or the stables of Valentine.

Players get to ride a bucking bull. This would only work with extensive motion capture and taking the physics to the extreme.

The main appeal would be the carnage once the bull wins.

I’d like this to be an “open event” where it occurs naturally in the freedom and anyone who happens to be crossing by could stop, rest and watch the show.

The area would have to be a passive space to prevent griefing.

Marine warfare
There’s a lot of boats on the water; would be a shame if someone were to fix a cannon to one of em…

A simple idea, maybe implemented in a showdown series, but let’s make use of the water and the environments. How about a steamboat battle on Flatiron lake at sundown. One person steers, the other is the gunner.

There could also be variants of this idea or a king of the mountain kind of event where one posse holds control of one of the larger riverboats and the opposing posse is tasked with boarding and subduing the ship.

This would be best with expanded melee and by making it melee only imo.

Horde mode
Simple fun. Hosted at FT. Mercer. You and your friends take on an army of enemies of your choice. From Del Lobos, a herd of Grizzlies to an ever expanding pack of Florida Panthers.

See how long you can hang on.

Ability card load outs
Racing, free roaming, in a showdown series, out to hunt, handling a random attacker. Each scenario requires very different ability card load outs and accessing the cards to “shuffle them” isn’t very effective when you find yourself in the midsts. There should be an option to save and equip your 5 favorite ability card setups.

Private lobbies
I was against private lobbies until I got into one myself. I imagine entry level players would greatly appreciate a private lobby so that they can get their footing while not having to worry about a level 300 making their life miserable.
And, as long as the game still features bugs that are solved by having a restricted server then why not (or at least keep the current private glitch open as a nod to the issues).
For this to work and be fair I’d propose that there be no long distant deliveries in a private lobby and your local deliveries pay 75% of what it’d pay in a open lobby
Free aim showdowns
Free aim showdowns to be a constant option, not part of a rotating slate. They are a unique setting in this game and the players who gravitate to that play style have no other option at the moment.
Enough with the limited showdowns I know what I want to play and I know what I don’t want to play, so let the players select the showdown they want to engage in without having to endure several rounds of games that they don’t want to play.
And yes, I would disallow PIB in all free-aim sessions. People chose to play free-aim, free-aim is distinctly atypical from the standard RDO experience, so it should be expected that you, the player who chose to join a free-aim session should adjust.
!!!!!!!!!! Snipers !!!!!!!!!!
I cannot describe how i loathe what has become of snipers in this game. No more sniper dance!

If you are looking down your scope then you are locked in or made extremely slow. I’d also do away with the sniper aim assist, but that’s less offensive than the sniper dance mess that has developed as a trend in this game.

Deathmatch
Just do a good-old fashion death match. It ain’t that hard

**Quality of life**
Ready Showdown “ready-up” should start the game at 1/2 of the players in lobby readying up

Store melee weapons in locker
I have a reinforced lasso. I am never going to intentionally select the regular lasso. Let me get it and all the other melee and throwable weapons out of the way.

Customizable horse coats
There is no reason that certain coats are tied to a certain tier of horse breeds. Sure, this would lead to a ton of black horses out there, but we’d also get to see some of the more unique coats that never make it out of the stables because they’re tied to lesser tier of horse breeds.

Saddle up your hunting wagon
You’ve got 10 horses in your stable… you should be able to use at least one of them on your hunting wagon to make it more personalized.

Custom arrange your stable
For those who have clear favorites. If ypu’re a player who has maxed out their stable spaces I’d imagine it’d be appreciated to be able to sort your horses, making the horses you are most active with be readily available to be selected.

Custom Arrange your consumables / store consumables Those canned peaches are for moonshinnin', not for eating!

Hold to cook all
Read the heading. This ain’t single player and this isn’t immersion, it’s a pain. Or integrate cripps into the scenario and have him cook meat that you donate to the trader table and have that meat be stored, when cooked, in the lockbox.

Hold x to maintains speed (on horse)
See above

Cinematic auto pilot on carts
Because it makes no sense that I have to continuously press ‘x’ to keep the cart in motion. Just let the carts go into auto-pilot like we can with horses.

Execute wounded animals
I’ll buy 15 gold bars immediately and just for this ability.

Share weapons with posse members.
If you find yourself in a posse with a low-level player it’d be a nice touch to “loan” one of your unused weapons to them. The loan would end as soon as that posse member leaves or the posse is disbanded.

Be allowed to breakdown carcases in wagon in order to make space
Shouldn’t have to lose a 2 star buck to make space for a 3 star panther. Just allow the player to break down the “discarded animal” for its pelt and meat.

Alert! You have been... If what I continue to read is true and RDO is hosted P2P and not with dedicated servers then that shit needs to change. If someone can elaborate on how that decision (if true) is more than a lazy cost saving measure then feel free to clue me in. You're Rockstar. The dominant player in open world gaming. You can afford to host servers in service of your players.

**The issues:**
The 10 ton bug in the room
Fix the bugs. All the bugs.

We all know what they are and we are updating our lists as new ones sprout up. Fix this. Don’t wait for the next generation of consoles, and if there is some massive. My $500 delivery should not have it’s supplies spawn underneath the map in valentine when it get’s wrecked in the Great Plains… That’s just the newest and most infuriating variation on the RDO rodeo (what I call the experience of trying to stick with this game while dealing with all the various frustrations). I’ve been playing games since the SNES, I was there for the first online multiplayer experiences on consoles. And I have never experienced such deep and persistent errors and issues with a tripleA game.

This is pretty much the only game I play online at the moment so I can’t speak too much about the other underachievers (Fallout 76, No Mans Sky) but from what I read the experiences there are and have improved by leaps and bounds leaving RDO as the buggy mess where you kinda gotta expect to get screwed over at some point so that you are mentally prepared for it and don’t launch your controller into the ceiling. This is not a good look.

Anybody out there?
Communicate/interact with us (the players/the customers). RDO is the only game I play online with, but hearing of other games and their community managers, maps for the future and general interaction with their players. Just letting us know what is to come / what we have to expect / what we have to “work toward” would go a long was in soothing the frustrations of the player base. At the very least I hope that at least acknowledge the bugs in some way, at least that would signal that a solution is in the works.

Speaking callously, now is the time for acts of “public relations” R*/T2 clearly treat it’s players as customers first and foremost and only put up the slightest veil of being a “community”. That needs to change. We’re going through a goddamn pandemic, people are sheltered in place and social distanced. The time is now to make your push

At the very least put out a “we’re in this together” message with real content or additions/ discounts that the entirety of the player-base will enjoy, not just the newcomers - Now is the time to open up and really make the players feel like you care that you want to help the get through this by providing the most entertaining experience you possibly can, within reason. For the sake of the company, because I feel we all have a vested interest in seeing RDO become great, I hope the lines of communication open up past the suggestion webpage where you’ll likely get a prefab response no matter how detailed and specific your suggestion/issue was.

The lack of content is an issue and it is doubly damaging that there is no communication. You’ll always hear the defense that, “GTA didn’t have much content at this point in it’s life either,” but that was almost a generation of consoles ago when GTAO was released. GTAO’s timeline and learning curve should not be allowed to be applied to RDO because Rockstar now gets to work with a the foundation of what they learned from GTAO. It should be reasonable to expect RDO to have much more content than GTAO did at the same time in it’s timeline. Especially considering this is now the flagship of R*'s gaming catelogue.

Corona is also no excuse.

Some of these issues and the general lack of imagination have been an issue since beta. Yes, the pandemic will slow down progress now, but that doesn’t account for all the issues that have been overlooked and unattended while R*/T2 have been at the highest vigilance and respond almost immediately to money and gold glitches.

If You’re tired of complaints: Then you should have taken the note and skipped this section, you are not obligated to read every post on the sub.

Tired of negative posts: sorry, but if the game weren’t so broken and lacking then there wouldn’t be so many negative posts, though I hope that my hopes for the future can give others hope as well.

RDO isn’t being ignored, but it’s dying and people are losing the faith they once had in the potential of this game. Hopefully some of these ideas will gain favor with y’all and you’ll submit them or a version of them yourselves. If nothing else this can serve as an exercise of “what could be’s” while getting creative with what is capable in our cowboy dress-up sim.

I'd love to hear your ideas.

RDO has a fantastic foundation but it is the most frustrating game I have ever played from a major developer for the lack of support and content. The lack of content I can give a slight pass on since it’s mainly a selfish ask born out of the potential this game holds. The bugs are inexcusable, especially from a multi-billion dollar company that refuses to communicate. The fanbase is losing hope and I have my doubts they’ll still be here for the next generation “double-dip” that many are expecting to be the point when RDO really takes off. This game needs work now, the players/customers deserve content (and dropping a well-done expansion while everyone is social-distanced can only help player loyalty/affinity). The time is now. Get on your horse Rockstar!

Horse Betting Calc

So I have recently gotten back into GTA online after a long break and stumbled upon horse racing and was making 200-300k every night I played just by spending an hour in the casino. This lead me to look into the math because it seemed really really easy to beat the house and wanted to make it easy for my friends to also do the same.
So I wanted to make a spreadsheet and it turned out that I really liked u/wully616 's that he put together, but I wanted to make it a little more in depth and easier to understand for my friends. I want to credit Wully here because all the groundwork was constructed by him or her.
So what did I do to this already good spreadsheet?
I added in the adjusted odds based on the difference in percentage points of the current horses. If the percentage is less than 100%, then the actual odds of each horse goes up based on a calculation of that percentage difference and their original odds. If the total percentage is over 100%, then the actual odds of each horse goes down based on that same type of calculation. I found that recalculating the adjusted odds 6 times was enough to normalize any odd set given so that is why that calculation is ran so many times even though in some cases it only takes once or twice to equal up to 100%.
Something else I also did was remove the part about horse one being evens and giving less profit since my sheet is only focused on making good bets and that is most certainly one of the best bets you can make.
Hopefully everyone enjoys the sheet and finds it helpful. You will have to make a copy to plug in different odds and play around with the sheet.
Here is my version of the sheet: My Spreadsheet
Here is the original post by u/wully616 that lead to the inspiration.

What I'd like to see in 2020

Vehicles and Mounts :
Handcars that can be controlled by the player, speed is determined by shift and ctrl, direction with a and d, while many of the railways are blocked or end with no way to get past, adding these and updating the tracks to be more accessible would create a fun and fast way to get around. Create railcars for each role, that significantly aid in the amount of work that can be done at once, the train would still run and would act as an immovable object the players have to keep track off to avoid collisions and lose their supplies.
Race carriages, 2 horses driving a single standing mans carriage, these would also be required to take part in horse derbies which are mentioned in the New Missions and Fun part of this post. They would be the fastest way to travel but are extremely fragile and cost a decent amount to repair, each component of the carriage costing different amounts. They would not only be a way for those who have too much money on them to spend some cash on decorative carriages and horse plumes, but it would also add another option for players to get around which is always good.
Donkeys and Mules, c'mon Rockstar... why shouldnt we be allowed to ride on slower clumsier sturdier versions of our current mounts, similiar to the fagio of old your playerbase flocks to the cheap ugly and reliable.
Boats, kayaks, fishing trolleys, steam powered mobile camps that can go up and down Lannachee river and flat iron lake. Having the ability to permanently access these vehicles would greatly improve the experience, I would enjoy fishing for giant catches out on my fishing trolley with a posse of friends, or going deep into the bayou in my kayak alone to hunt for a handful of alligator pelts, maybe I'll take my camp boat down the river to check out a stranger I havent hit yet somehow who knows the possibilities are there.
New Missions and Fun:
Horse derbies, races that take place in closed circuits, where a minimum bet is required, and a certain standard of horse is needed. Race carriages would be required to take place in races and those who dont have them can still spectate the race and bet actively on who will win up until 50 meters of the winning lap. The maximum profit a racer could earn in 200$ where as a spectator could win 100$ if they bet their max amount and won 1st.
Train Heist, limited time events that pop up in the server and run for about 25 minutes, during this time a train with valuable supplies will travel from one side of the map to another, guarded by armored gun cars, and mercenaries, armored with steel plates and a armored conductor cabin, the only way to rob the train is destroying the gun cars and conductor cabin to stop it. At this point any player that's taken part will get a text telling them to finish off the remaining mercenaries and once done the cars will be able to have dynamite placed on them. Each posse involved will be able to plant on one of the 3 to 5 supply cars in tow, allowing multiple groups to benefit from the event rather than one greedy group, although an opened car is free for anyones taking. Cars would have valuable consumables, special ammunitions, money clips, and every car will have 1 to 10 bank bonds, bonds can be held for long periods of time to increase their value but your inventory can only hold 10 at most. The maximum value of a bank bond would be 25$ and the lowest would be 5$. As long as a player is within render distance of the train it wont dissapear and another wont spawn, after an hour and a half on the same server another train appears of a different supply type and defensive setup.
Conductor missions, take control of a train as it makes it's way to a destination and is besieged by groups of attempted train robbers, dealing with occasional hostage situations and sneaky thief's that snuck onboard. These would reward anywhere from 20 to 40$ depending on the distance traveled and time passed, the less mayhem caused by you along the journey the better the pay bonus recieved upon completion.
Legendary hunts, create even more variations of legendary creatures for online that players can search down and hunt freely, only a few cut scenes where a npc who makes special clothing items out of them pops up to make some jokes or something. No cash rewards besides selling the hides and animal parts for cash instead of turning them into the special one chance clothing items, the legendary pelts would range in value from 10 to 50$ just enough to consider selling them if you dont like how the item it can be turned into looks.
Roles and jobs:
Rancher, spend your days leading sheep to their new pens, raising calfs into cows, and slitting chicken throats; welcome to the new dirtiest job and hardest job in the west. "The pay is low, the work is hard, but the feeling I get when I see my whole organic all natural no processes cicada destroyed wheat in the market, well.. that's farming." You'll be able to raise livestock, grow crops, hire workers, and export and import supplies. As a posse leader your goons will have to protect exports from rival players and escort imports as they travel the gang territory nearby where ai enemies will attempt to steal your wagons. The end goal of a rancher is to yield every crop, produce every livestock, and own the biggest damn barnhouse the west has ever seen. Owning a ranch would act as a permanent camp, it would always spawn in the same span of land, rockstar could simply dedicate a part of the open plains to a few plots of farms that servers can generate when a player that owns one joins.
Logger, have you ever wanted to break your back and yell timber every hour of every damn day? Then this role is for you! Being a logger is a grueling experience of growing your measly lumber startup into a country wide monopoly that single handedly controls the lumber market. This role could involve a short questline involving taking out your enemies the method depending on your morality at the time. The pay would depend solely on how many contracts you can secure which require the player to go out into the world and find unfinished jobs or even architects that need lumber to make money, the shipments will need to be protected in order to secure their arrival, and your payment!
Sheriff's deputy, become deputized by the law and help maintain order in the world of red dead online, this role alongside Robber are free to anyone with the required honor to take one the role. Only players with maximum honor can accept the sheriff's deputy role and it involves hunting down players that cause mayhem, npcs will spawn and alert sheriff's deputies when a player with a low honor rating causes mayhem in the same server, multiple reports can happen over the course of a few minutes so their map may have multiple people to hunt down. Upon finding a mayhem causer the deputy's are supposed to hogtie them and loot them as their payment for causing mayhem, this at the least will be 50c at most 5$. If the deputy's kill the target they will lose honor and recieve no reward, dipping to low in honor will kick them from their role. When a sheriff deputy is dealing with a robber they're authorized to shoot on sight, however their is no reward in doing so similarly to normal mayhem causers, the difference is robbers can lose everything they've stolen and not turned in to a deputy who hogties and loots them. Occasionally the sheriff will have a quest for the player involving a mugging on some street or another that he wants you to investigate or a stage coach robbery that just occurred and he needs you to catch it and return it;, there are plenty of possibilites but as a free role it would be lighter on content and reward possibilities.
Robber, ever wanted everyone to just know you're a sketchy dude? Do you like backstabbing folks and then taking that antique watch they where just telling you about? Then maybe being a Robber is for you. Take part in small house invasions, stage coach robberies, hold ups and more, if you're lucky maybe one day you'll get a lead on a real job like a rich ladies house in saint denis or a new ranch in Hanover. But beware, your actions are taken into account by the law and sheriff's deputies are authorized to shoot on sight, or take your rotten gians. Robbers would have a range of possible monetary rewards mostly in small amounts ranging from 25c to 5$, after getting enough experience or money earned a npc will tip the player off on a "good job" that rewards around 75$, after completion the same npc will occasionally reappear with another job.
Technical improvements:
Disconnects, frame drops, freezes, crashes, infinite loading screens, anyone who's played a rockstar game knows the deal but somehow rdo is even harder to have a solid experience on. Solo lobbies and private sessions need to be added, even if some things are removed to prevent exploitation, and no taking a delivery of moonshine out on a private lobby isnt exploitation. Performance in general isn't bad but things like flame physics, explosions, and physics collisions cause stutters even with above the requirement setups, seeing an improvement would be great as these issues persist mostly on rdo not the offline counterpart.
Controls:
Controlling a character in red dead 2 is awkward but fine, it has a sense of weight to it that goes well with the atmosphere and sense of realism they're trying to bring to frame, in rdo however it can be extremely debilitating to lose control of your character as it attempts to do a scripted action you didnt even know it could do at the time. I cannot count the amount of times my character has nonchalantly walked on cliffs jumped a horse into a ravine or tripped over a rock she just vaulted over, and seeing other people do it is wonderful, but you have to wonder if it's really the best way for controls to work in rdo.
In conclusion:
I love rdr2 and rdo and I hope to see it improve as time goes on, with gta 5'a success and rdo supposed even further success should be a good sign of what's to come, although I dont know if they'll ever fix the connection issues or add private lobbies I believe that'll be up to divine intervention.

what is the best horse to bet on gta video

I’ve made hundreds of thousands of dollars from horse racing’s and here’s my strat, Go to single event and go in and out of the computer until you get a race where horse #1 has evens and the horse #2 has 5/1. If you go max bet on horse #1 you have the best possible chance of winning and you will very rarely lose. 10k chip profit everytime! Bet on what horse you want, but if you want to be rolling in it it's worth waiting a while for the lowest odds horse to win. yeah i always save before betting and reload in case of bad bets. But it would be a piece of cake if what I speculate is true, some horses are always faster than others (like i said with ring of fire). How to win big at Track horse racing in GTA Online. Now that you have the chips, you’re going to have to start betting to win your fortune. One great option is to try GTA Online’s Track Racing where you can place a bet on a horse of your choice. You can win back double what you put down if your stallion wins. So it really doesn't matter which horse you bet on, in the long run, you expect the same results. But as explained before, it does influence variance, and therefore your short-term result, which can swing both ways. But now, the best possible field to bet on: two runners at 5-1, two runners at 15-1, and two runners at 30-1. having a dirt oval on the map would be a fun thing to have, but from a design standpoint one of these out in the desert is i think more likely than a horse racing track. is there a major horse track in LA? i know when GTA: Kentucky is released, it's very likely to be in the game. not really hopeful about it being in V. i would have fun with it though. Now that players in GTA Online have access to the Casino, there are tons of ways to spend and earn money in the game. Players can spend their time playing slot machines are jumping in at any number of casino-style games. Those who are looking for a chance to earn big money though can try their hand at the Inside Track horse racing. The GTA Online Inside Track game in the Diamond Casino offers players the chance to win big just for predicting the winning horse, and make no mistake, there’s a knack to this as well as luck. There are tons of ways in the GTA 5 online game to spend and earn money. If you want to make a significant profit in GTA, you should try your luck in the horse-racing Inside Track.. The racing ... Horse Numbers. Horse 1 and Horse 2 is the most likely to win. Picking Horse 1 means more wins overall, but not that much, so either can be chosen. I recommend not alternating between horses, but rather sticking with either Horse 1 or Horse 2. Choose horse. Make sure current bet is 100. Hover over the increase bet right arrow > Click and hold the mouse, starting over the increase bet arrow then bring it down to the place bet button. Keep holding that same mouse click until the horses have reached the half way mark at least. Get lucky and enjoy payout when your horse wins! Lucky Wheel
